There is a chance for the implementation of Polish postulates regarding the ban on the import of grain and other products from Ukraine. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski announced that talks with Brussels on this matter had been finalized. - This is a great achievement of Poland - said Wojciechowski.

On Friday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that EU arrangements on the ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine had been adopted. The Polish position was supported by Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria .

- We have finalized arrangements with the European Union regarding the ban on imports of agricultural products, which primarily led to destabilization on the Polish market - mainly cereals and corn - emphasized the head of the government during his speech in Zaranna.

Wojciechowski: The crisis in agriculture was inevitable

On May 8, the European Parliament is to vote on the extension of the decision to abolish customs duties on goods from Ukraine. The current decision on the matter expires on June 5.

From April 15, the Polish border is closed to cereals and agricultural goods imported from Ukraine. Their transport through Poland is possible only on the basis of EU regulations on external transit. The condition is that such transit must end in Polish seaports or outside the territory of the Republic of Poland.
