The robotic lawnmower models "Smart Sileno city" and "Smart Sileni life" are two new additions to the Gardena range and, according to the manufacturer, are among the most advanced in their class. What sets them apart: They have a built-in chip called "Lona Intelligence" (localization & navigation), which offers numerous options for individually configuring the robotic lawnmower.
"Lona" is an adaptive, artificial intelligence-based mapping technology with location determination. This means that every movement of the robotic lawnmower can be tracked in real time via the "Smart App" from Gardena. Mowing areas and times can also be set and coordinated with the automatic irrigation. The robotic lawnmower uses the app to know where there are shady garden areas where the grass grows more slowly – and where it has to mow less often. At any time and from anywhere, you can find out which area of ​​the lawn is currently being mowed and redefine the use of the robotic lawnmower depending on the weather or personal assessment.
The technology also makes it possible to capture the entire garden and create a map that he uses for his mowing activities. This card is displayed in the app, where users can make numerous other settings. Restricted zones that should not be mowed - for example flower meadows - can also be defined here.
