Fatal accident in diving well: thirty-something goes diving with two friends but does not surface

A medical doctor came to the scene and carried out an investigation at the Dongelberg site. It concluded that the man died after an accidental drowning. The public prosecutor of Walloon Brabant confirms on Monday that no criminal investigation will follow.

It is not the first time that a fatal accident has occurred in this diving well. In April 2019 another woman died after a diving accident, in February 2022 an experienced diver died.
